The biggest problem with the whole ‘wealthy controlling the wealth’ thing is that in their view, the solution to most of the problems is ‘be less poor’. Which, in and of itself is not incorrect.
However it gets significantly more muddled when you say “Alright, I’ll admit, I don’t know how to do that. Can you help?’ So they say. ‘No’
Exasperated, you respond “That’s a bit unfair of you, since this was your idea and all”
So they say “Oh fine, you’ve whined and complanied, so we’ll throw you a bone. Work for me, we’ll have to cut your benefits and your income, but trust me on this, if you do what I say, you’ll be rich like me.”
Now of course, you feel the need to point out “Well, sir, you see, I *have* been working for you, I just celebrated my 9th year with the company. I really do appreciate the extra quarter an hour you’ve given me too. It really adds up over the 70 hours a week I’ve been putting in. I’ve been trying to save my money too, but you know it’s hard. How’s your vacation in Europe going, by the way? I’d love to visit there. Next year, we might be able to afford to go across the state to visit my wife’s family for our vacation.”
Important things. No coverage from the news yet actually.
Apropos to nothing, just one of the cooler wikiarticles I’ve ran across lately
